I was at my moms yesterday going through an entire chest of photos from when we were kids. I find so much joy in this sort of project. I could look though these photos forever.

What is it that I love so much about sifting through thousands of photos? It’s all the details that I love the most. The outfits, our childhood home in the background, what my parents looked like and so on.

I couldn’t help but think about what our future children will have to go through. I printed plenty of photos after our wedding to hang around the house; big canvas’ here and there and plenty of other wall art from our engagement. Otherwise, maybe a few from of my nieces but nothing that I can go and physically find at the moment. Nothing of us together at the beach or even my dog running at the park. We have SO many pictures on our phones and somewhere on the “cloud”. . . not that I even have a clue how to retrieve them! But why do I not have an updated scrapbook of these recent moments.

So, I’m on a mission, I need more pictures of our lives together. Just some candid moments will do. My husband, my dog, our adventures together and our families.

Join me on this journey through June to print some of these photos for our kids to look through one day when they’re out of college and start to care about having these keepsakes.
