This extended family session was quick, painless and an absolute blast! For extended family photo sessions, I always have the family with the youngest kids arrive first so that they can be photographed individually. Then, we move into the full family shoot with all the cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents, if interested in being in the photos.
Check out the beautiful outfits that they picked out for the kids. They were ordered from Janie & Jack and couldn’t be any more perfect. Once the girls dresses were picked out, they worked the rest of the outfits around them. The boys outfits for the photos are usually pretty easy to settle on.
Photographing extended families is a lot of fun for me because I get to interact and engage with so many different families at one time. The kids are always excited to be around their cousins and seeing their expressions when their cousins are wearing pretty similar outfits is priceless.
This photo session was a gift for Grandma. She came into the studio to view her portraits and selected a set of digital files and of course that beautiful group photo for her mantle. I circled back after the package was delivered and her family portrait was already framed and in it’s place! Awesome work, guys! Thanks for making me a part of your family heirloom!
