OCEAN CITY NJ BEACH PICTURES | PERFECT FOR FAMILY FUN

I can think of no better place to capture a family’s playfulness and showcase their loving connection than the Ocean City NJ beach. Pictures here always seem to highlight the most amazing moments. And when the sun starts to sink below the horizon, you really have a perfect opportunity for portrait magic!

This family of four was visiting Ocean City on vacation. They were referred by another dear client of mine. And you can tell just by looking at these images that the coast is one of their favorite places to be. This made for outstanding family portraits! The sunset was glowing in full effect on this gorgeous evening, and their wonderful family bond shone right along with it.

PHOTOGRAPHING SIBLINGS | CAPTURING THE SISTER BOND

The youngest girl was a pleasure to be around. Her sweet smile and curious personality really stood out against the smooth ocean backdrop. And the oldest girl was such a fantastic big sister. I really enjoyed capturing that wonderful sister bond on film. And photos like these are among the most treasured keepsakes for parents. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a few other charming sibling pairs over the years, like this brother/sister team for a birthday beach session and these precious brothers, who had an incredibly fun connection.

We started our session in the dunes, working on posed photos. Sometimes it takes kids (and adults, for that matter!) a little bit of time to warm up when having their photos taken. But it didn’t take long before they opened up. After getting some adorable portraits in the sand, we moved closer to the water where they were able to relax, have fun, and enjoy walking along the beach.

DRESSING TO IMPRESS

Choosing the right outfits for the whole family can be challenging, especially when you are dressing for beach portraits. But this family did it just right. The blue/white/coral color scheme worked perfectly in front of the grassy dunes as well as the gentle blue waves. The details of the coral necklace and the coral flower and bow on the girls was the perfect tie-in to mom’s beach dress. And dad’s attire was simple, but something about that choice said: “These three girls are my whole world, and I’m here to support them.” Much can be stated with clothing choices!

This family enjoyed their beach pictures so much that a few years later they came back and did another session! It was so nice to see the girls as they are growing up, with the addition of a third delightful little girl as well. This was another fabulous session that made me proud to be an OCNJ beach photographer. I can’t wait to see more from this awesome family in the future.
