Fun OCNJ Beach Family Photo Shoot | OCNJ Beach Photographers

Is there ever a dull day in Ocean City, NJ? Have you ever been to the beach at dusk just about an hour or before the sunset? The sky turns to cotton candy the sand, white as sugar. The dunes are green and the water will change color depending on the sky. Sometimes teal, sometimes blue. The Ocean City, NJ beaches are the perfect backdrop for family portraits at sunset.

This family of four and I go back almost 5 years! We first met in Ocean City for a beach family photoshoot when the boys were much younger. The session following we met at my outdoor studio in Newtown, PA for fall family photos – dog included! They traveled all the way from Maryland to visit me in Bucks County! This year we gathered on the beach in Ocean City for yet another beach photoshoot. The boys have changed and grown so much over the past several years but their love for three things remains the same? Can you guess what they are?

Some of my favorite moments from their OCNJ beach portrait session are the candids where they are simply themselves, playful and energetic. I also adore the more posed shots of them on the entryway to the Ocean City beach.

The individuals in the beginning of session are always a nice breakaway from the rest of the family images. This gives me a chance to engage and interact with each one to capture their own personalities.

In Ocean City, not every beach has a lifeguard stand and OCNJ boat. I love incorporating these small details in the family photo session!
