A Maternity Photo Shoot in Philadelphia, PA | Philadelphia Maternity Photos
It was Spring 2019 in Greater Philadelphia – hot, humid and sticky. A perfect time for a maternity photo shoot – NOT. It also happened to be a few weeks before the arrival of their newest addition. When you’re on a timeline in your pregnancy, the best thing to do is push through the weather to finalize the photo shoot and move to the next pre-baby milestone. Even more so when there’s a toddler sibling in the picture 🙂

Maternity Photographer Philadelphia
Philadelphia offers many beautiful landscapes for a pregnancy photo shoot backdrop. The backdrop options are endless and include; downtown Philadelphia, parks and fields in Greater Philadelphia, the beach and of course the HTP outdoor studio in Newtown. Choosing a backdrop becomes a careful decision when the maternity session involves other children. When the maternity photo shoot includes siblings, I prefer locations that give them the opportunity to move around and run free without worrying about what will be caught in the backdrop.
There are so many great ways to capture a young family during this very special and unique time. When the first child is about to become a big sister, we hug a little tighter & kiss a little harder. Simply because our resources are about to change.
Right before two is a very interesting time. When your toddler can do everything themselves, right? My goal during the maternity photo shoot is to capture the independence and still involve mom and dad in the poses. Jumping off the box is always the best way to accomplish this! Look at that big smile!
Sitting on a new prop is always a sure way to get a toddler to sit for more than one minute at a time during their photo shoot!
That beautiful floral dress could not have been more perfect for their summer maternity photo session!
Mom and dad told me prior to the session that their little girls loves to run away from them! Sounds like a lot of fun, right? Time for me to lace up my sneakers and get ready to capture the moment. Look at the pure joy here!
Swinging, flying, kissing – oh my! Mom mentioned before the shoot that she did not want traditional maternity poses. Just the fun, lifestyle and candid moments that come with toddlerhood – SUCCESS.
