It was a hot summer evening when we captured this beautiful maternity photoshoot in Philadelphia. But the warmth didn’t stop us from creating stunning images of this soon-to-be family of four! As a Philadelphia maternity photographer, I always strive to make sessions enjoyable and memorable, no matter the weather. This particular shoot was part of my Barefoot Summer Series in 2019, and Mom—glowing at 36 weeks pregnant—embraced the session with such grace despite the summer heat.

That session took place in my outdoor studio during the fall, so we decided to switch things up for this Philadelphia maternity photoshoot by choosing a lush, green field bursting with summer life. They say the second child tends to be a little wilder than the first, right? This growing family enjoyed picking wildflowers, cuddling in the grass, and soaking up their final moments as a family of three. Outdoor maternity sessions are some of my absolute favorites to capture!

One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing some solo moments of the soon-to-be big sister. It’s incredible to see how much she has grown since our first session together! She wore a charming pink floral dress that perfectly embodied the essence of summer, while Mom chose a flowing floral gown that complemented the season beautifully. Dad kept things classic with a simple white shirt, letting his girls shine. Their coordinated outfits reflected the joy, excitement, and love they share as a growing family.
