Fall is hands-down the best time to hire a Bucks County Photographer — and it’s easy to see why. The combination of vibrant foliage, golden sunlight, and cozy styling creates a timeless, emotional look families love year after year. From tree-lined parks to charming historic towns, Bucks County offers a variety of backdrops that photograph beautifully once the leaves begin to change.
When to Book Fall a Bucks County Photographer for Fall
If you want peak color and ideal weather, timing matters.
In Bucks County, foliage typically follows this schedule:
- Late September: Early color begins
- Mid-October: Strong color emerges
- Late October: Peak foliage
- Early November: Leaves begin to fall
Peak color often lands around the last two weeks of October, though weather can shift timing slightly each year.
Bucks County Photographer Location Scouting
One of the biggest reasons families choose me as their Bucks County Photographer is access to some of the most beautiful, thoughtfully scouted locations in Bucks County.
I photograph in a mix of scenic parks and my private studio property — giving my clients both variety and flexibility when planning their session.
Here are a few of my most loved fall backdrops:
Private Outdoor Studio Location
Heather Thomas Photography Farmhouse Outdoor Studio
My private farmhouse outdoor studio offers historic charm with the added bonus of being weather-friendly. Because it’s reserved exclusively for my clients, sessions here feel relaxed, private, and beautifully styled — without park crowds.
It’s perfect for families who want a polished fall look with comfort, flexibility, and a little extra breathing room for young kids.
Parks & Nature Locations
Tyler State Park
Tree-lined drives, charming bridges, and wide open fields create a classic Bucks County fall backdrop filled with glowing foliage and golden sunset light.
Core Creek Park
Ideal for families who love waterfront views paired with colorful leaves. The walking paths and open space make it especially great for playful, candid moments with little ones.
These locations are especially loved because they offer a mix of open light, vibrant foliage, and natural variety — all within one session. I help each family choose the setting that best fits their style, wardrobe, and overall vision.
