Philadelphia 1st Birthday Cake Smash – A Baseball Theme
Time flies when you have a baby – their first birthday marks 365 days of laughter, a bit of frustration and worries, new joys, and a whole lot of love. It’s important for families to commemorate Baby’s first year – and what better way to do that than with pictures?
The P family celebrated their son’s first year of life with a fun first birthday photoshoot. This Lower Bucks, Pennsylvania party was unique in that we captured moments both indoors and outdoors, providing for flexibility and a variety of lighting. Versatility is key with sessions involving little ones, so this ended up being the perfect spot.
This little guy only came for the cake… and when it came time to smash it, he ended up being much more fascinated by the baseballs scattered around him. Sometimes babies devour the cake and make an adorable frosting mess of themselves, but this little guy wasn’t too interested. Still got sweet photos of him enjoying playtime and all the attention. He’s already a sports lover, a tiny baseball fan in the making – maybe we have a future major league home run champ, who knows?
When we made it outside, you could see his adventurous spirit take hold – he loved the red scooter and lit up exploring the outdoors. Babies need to stay moving to stay happy, so having toys and space for exploration helped these images show more genuine giggles and more true fun. In the natural light, his beautiful blue eyes could really sparkle for the camera. The brick wall with ivy provided a great backdrop for the closeups and gave his personality the space to come through in the pictures.
First-year photo shoots are fun because you can see the potential this baby has to change the world for the better in years to come. After seeing how much joy and goodness this little guy has brought to people in his first year, I can only imagine all he will bring to the world in the years to come!
